CHAIN OF CUSTODY POLICY

Cultivos Verdes S.A. is a company dedicated to the manufacture of bouquets and flower arrangements, we guarantee that the products offered to our international clients come from farms or administrators of Rainforest Alliance certified groups, complying with current legal regulations, current Chain of Custody regulations and policies of the Rainforest Alliance.

SECURITY POLICY

Cultivos Verdes S.A. guarantees a safe work environment for our employees and customers. With the use of BASC policy and standards we can avoid illegal activities such as corruption, bribery, money laundry among other crimes in our daily operations from production, manufacture, packing, shipment and sales of our bouquets and floral arrangements. And also promoting the use of technology and the compliance of current legislation and the continuous improvement of SGCS BASC.

CLAIMS & CREDIT POLICY

The information and documents that the sales executive need to accept a claim as valid are the following:

 1.     Written communication or email from the client or the account executive explaining the problem in detail.

2.     Photographs of the damage without exceptions, which must be clear and showing the problem reported. 

3.     Information and photographs of the shipment: AWB, HWB, PO, etc.

4.     In case of Hold by customs in the United States or another country, the following information must be sent:

a. AWB

b. HOLD document

c. Final disposition document (TREATED & RELEASED, DESTRUCTION)

It is worth mentioning that Cultivos Verdes will not be held any responsibility if these supporting documents are not complete. Or if the clients did not send it on time.

If there is a re-export or destruction, an agreement must be reached between the two parties on how to handle it.

 5.     The claim must be issued within a maximum of 10 days after the shipment, any particular case will be analyzed individually, depending on the type of client and the problem reported.

6.     All claims require approval from the general manager in case of his absence the person assigned by him for the purpose.

7.     Any non-compliance of this procedure will be analyzed by the commercial department and the general manager, to identify possible irregularities and to continue with the commercial relationship.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY POLICY

Cultivos Verdes S.A. guarantee a safe working environment for all the workers, assuring wellbeing, and fulfillment of every right and responsibilities during the daily operation of the company, allowing that every worker can contribute to the common objective of the organization.

This policy applies to every strategic partner of Cultivos Verdes S.A., and it is in their responsibility to fulfill the policy in each labor activity that they are involved in and in every professional task when representing the company. Cultivos Verdes is committed to:

·         Prevent labor abuse

·         Avoid forced labor in all areas

·         Forbid underage labor

·         Promote a mechanism for solving complains and suggestions

·         Guarantee the gender equity, forbidding discrimination

·         Socialize with all the workers their rights and responsibilities

·         Fulfill the national laws regarding contracts

This Social Responsibility Policy is governed by the Internal Regulations Manual, Human Rights Universal Declaration and National current Laws in Ecuador.
